💡About the NVIDIA RTX 4060

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 was Ada Lovelace's entry card — 8GB GDDR6 at $299. Now superseded by the RTX 5060, its 8GB VRAM is the primary limitation. At deep clearance pricing, it's still a capable 1080p card, but the 8GB ceiling makes it a poor long-term investment for 1440p.

  • Ultra-low 115W TDP

One of the most efficient GPUs ever — no external power connector needed on some AIB models.

  • DLSS 3

Frame generation extends the card's 1080p capabilities significantly.

  • Clearance pricing

Below $200 street prices make this an affordable entry into NVIDIA's ecosystem.

🎯Who is this for?

1080p gamers on a tight budget who find it at deep clearance discounts.

FAQs

Is 8GB VRAM enough?

For 1080p, adequate but increasingly tight. At 1440p, 8GB is a real limitation in 2025 titles. The RTX 5060 has the same 8GB but faster GDDR7 and better compression — or step up to the 16GB 5060 Ti.

RTX 4060 vs Intel Arc B580?

The Arc B580 offers 12GB VRAM at $249 and matches or beats the 4060 in rasterization. The 4060 has DLSS 3 and better ray tracing. At clearance pricing under $200, the 4060 is a good deal. At $250+, the B580 is better value.
